MACHINE OPERATOR

Operate a variety of addressing, inserting and mailing equipment.  Responsible for set-up, tear down and running of work orders.  Able to work efficiently and consistently with focus on quality.  Able to fit in with a collaborative production team.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The position has the following major areas of responsibility:

  • Operating addressing, inserting, folding and cutting equipment for mail services.
  • Perform routine maintenance on mail machinery.
  • Load data into computers which match to work orders that are being produced.
  • Load pieces into machines for addressing and sort into proper trays upon completion.
  • Palletize and prepare for delivery to USPS.
  • Drive mail to USPS and enter into bulk mail stream.
  • Other Duties that May be Assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSOperate a variety of addressing, inserting and mailing equipment.  Responsible for set-up, tear down and running of work orders.  Able to work efficiently and consistently with focus on quality.  Able to fit in with a collaborative production team.

Position requires general aptitude for working with machinery equipment and general knowledge of how to make some mechanical repairs.  Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to produce quality work for the client.  Able to work independently or in tandem with other operators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires high school graduation or completion of GED.  Candidates need to have valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Primary manager of company data and IT functions which include hardware, software, database management,
quantitative review of associated metrics and processing of postal sorts.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The position has the following major areas of responsibility:

•  Organize Andrick IT Department and document Hardware and Software Assets.
•  Set-up New IT systems and maintain existing IT systems for Office and Production.
•  Organize Andrick Database Systems and Maintain Databases required for Operations.
•  Process data for clients and for Company to create desired lists for mailing projects.
•  Process mail orders for proper postal sorts and generate postal reports for various orders.
•  Support the digital commerce activities of Company including social media and email campaigns.
•  Support Mail Tracking Activities and related reporting and metric analysis.
•  Other Duties that May be Assigned

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Active Member of Andrick Technology Team.

  • Work with all Andrick employees to ensure that IT systems are operating and protected.

  • Work with Client Services to organize data and process postage through postal software and other program designed to generate Client solutions.

  • Work with Web Vendor, E-Commerce Vendor, Digital Storefront Vendor and Mail Metrics Vendor to ensure that everything integrates into Company business in the proper manner.

  • Write Queries and Script to simplify and expedite data processing for various jobs, especially those that are re-occurring.

  • Become proficient in the Midnight MIS system and provide IT support to this vendor when required.

  • Be knowledgeable about all Company software and provide support when required.

  • Provide thoughts and ideas to improve processing of data, list information and postal computations to benefit the Client and the Company.

  • Actively Participate in all Andrick Technology Activities. 

2.       Organize Andrick Database and IT Systems.

  • Maintain an index of various software programs which are utilized in the operation of Company activities
    and keep updated daily.

  • Document all of the hardware owned and utilized by Company for easy retrieval when required or requested.

  • Ensure that systems are backed up and maintained so that they rarely, if ever, fail when needed for the operations of the Company.

  • Ensure that inventories are maintained at an adequate level to support replacements when IT equipment
    breaks or needs maintenance.

  • Ensure that IT equipment and IT systems are secure from theft and outside infiltration and that Company databases and IT systems operate at a high level and at peak operating performance.

  • Take other steps necessary to keep Andrick systems and equipment organized, safe and secure.

3.       Manage Production Extracted Data and Postal Computations

  • Keep Company postal software updated and operational. 

  • Maintain an index of various software programs which are utilized in the operation of Company activities and keep updated daily.

  • Document all of the hardware owned and utilized by Company for easy retrieval when required or requested.

  • Ensure that systems are backed up and maintained so that they rarely, if ever, fail when needed for the operations of the Company.

  • Ensure that inventories are maintained at an adequate level to support replacements when IT equipment breaks or needs maintenance.

  • Ensure that IT equipment and IT systems are secure from theft and outside infiltration and that Company databases and IT systems operate at a high level and at peak operating performance.

  • Take other steps necessary to keep Andrick systems and equipment organized, safe and secure.

  • Update Various Proprietary Lists (e.g. property appraiser list, voter roll, etc.) on Company required schedule so that Company is always working with updated information.

  • Become Proficient at extracting and analyzing voter data.

  • Investigate and implement new and improved techniques to extract data that can be utilized to deliver solutions to Client problems.

  • Manage List Exports and Imports and their Integrations into Client jobs.

  • Create Proprietary Queries and Algorithms to more efficiently analyze data and information.

  • Train other Company personnel in order to see that there is back-up for routine data and postal activities.

4.       Provide Overall IT and Systems Support for Office and Production Machinery

  • Set up and maintain all office computers, telephones and printing equipment
    (unless done by outside vendors).

  • Become knowledgeable of all of the various system integrations and connections between Company server(s) and various office and production machinery.

  • Work with Company vendors and outside support personnel to isolate problems and identify solutions when operations fail due to systems issues.

5.       Other Duties that May be Assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Position requires working knowledge of how computers store and retrieve data and how best to build computer databases.  Employee needs to have experience in techniques to build databases that are well organized and do not adversely affect computer and network performance.  Employee needs to be a problem-solver and able to fix issues created by bad database design, malfunction or Client impact with minimal data loss or impact on scheduling.  Position requires an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently and in teams and to be able to meet or exceed deadlines.  Attention to detail, ability to manage time and ability to operate well within a team environment are also very important skills for this position.  Communication and documentation skills are essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires formal education in IT, Database or another Quantitative Field of Study (Mathematics, MIS, Computer Science, etc.) with a minimum of an AA degree.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Access Database is required.  At least 3 years of professional database management experience.  Other experience which is pertinent to the duties of this position.

CUTTING MACHINE OPERATOR

Operate a cutting machines from small Challenge Titan to larger Polar guillotine cutter.  Responsible for set-up, tear down and running of work orders.  Able to work efficiently and consistently with focus on quality.  Able to fit in with a collaborative production team.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The position has the following major areas of responsibility:

•  Review Job Orders to determine cutting required for final job dimensions.

•  Enter cutting positions in proper order in computer.

•  Load paper onto cutter bed.  Jog and align sheets for cutting.

•  Evaluate cut material and adjust machine as needed to perform job per client specifications.

•  Organize all supplies necessary to operate equipment and complete orders.

•  Change knives and lubricate as preventive maintenance manual requires.

•  Record job information on work order and MIS system.

Operate a variety of folding, slitting and perforating equipment.  Responsible for set-up, tear down and running of work orders.  Able to work efficiently and consistently with focus on quality.  Able to fit in with a collaborative production team.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The position has the following major areas of responsibility:

•  Review Job Orders to determine folding type, page size and sequence.

•  Pre-sets guide, plates and rollers as required.

•  Load paper into feeder and jog to proper position to fulfill folding requirements of each job.

•  Adjust machine during production so that final result matches quality expected by Client.

•  Organize all supplies necessary to operate equipment and complete orders.

•  May need to operate two machines simultaneously.

•  Record job information on work order and MIS system.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Able to lift up to 75 pounds

2.  Able to drive a forklift

3.  Capable of managing a pallet jack

4.  Able to stand for an extended period of time when operating mailing equipment.
